Jennie & Josh's Wedding Day - Wortley Hall, April 2014

I thought I would start my blog going again by blogging about recent weddings, so here is my first one: Jennie & Josh's big day back in April at the gorgeous Wortley Hall!

The day started with Jennie and her bridesmaids getting ready in a suite in the hotel, with the help of Emma who did all the girls' hair, including Jen's mum and her little girl Lily.

 

 

  

Josh arrived with his best man so they could get ready, so I nipped down the corridor to get some photos of the guys!

 

After all the preparations I headed downstairs to the library where the ceremony was due to take place, to get some photos before the guests arrived. The beautiful flowers were provided by Katie Laura Flowers. Once the guests started to arrive it was soon ready for Jennie and Josh to say I do...

After the ceremony we all headed into the beautiful grounds of Wortley Hall for a drinks reception and lots of photographs in the gorgeous weather.

Afterwards we headed into the dining room for food and the all important speeches!

For the evening reception, Jennie and Josh had a blessing in the church just up the road from Wortley Hall. All the evening guests were invited to the blessing in the church and attended this first before heading to the reception back at the hall. At the reception Jennie's maid of honour Lauren sang for the guests, a candy cart was provided by Sweet Candy Buffets and the bride and groom took to the dancefloor for their first dance as Mr & Mrs Pacey!

So that was Mr & Mrs Pacey's wedding day on 14th April 2014 at the beautiful Wortley Hall. Thanks so much to Jennie and Josh for letting me capture your day! There was so much detail and thought put into it that I had so much to photograph, and I enjoyed every minute, so thank you!

Hello again!

Well, it's been quite some time since I've posted on my blog I'm so sorry for neglecting it!!

Thought I'd post an update on here as to what I've been up to for the past 6 months. It's been a busy 6 months for me really, had loads of lovely family photoshoots including some outdoor ones which have been great fun, including some lovely engagement photoshoots! I also photographed a christening and attended 2 weddings where I just didn't stop taking photos really! The next 6 months is going to be my busiest time yet as a photographer: I have weddings booked all over the place - in fact I only have one free weekend in May so I'm going to be very busy! I'm attending two more Wedding Photography courses in February, which I'm really looking forward to! I currently have my January Sale running so if you or anyone you know is wanting a photoshoot, my prices are currently HALF PRICE! Including the Bump to Baby photoshoot package!

Recent news at Hayley Cox Photography

Hi everybody

Been a bit quiet on here again recently so thought I'd update my blog with some of my recent photographs.

I had the last two of my Facebook Freebie baby bump photoshoots in May / early June and I'm really pleased with how they went. I feel a lot more confident now taking that style of photograph so I hope to do more of them in the future! I'm thinking of coming up with a maternity / newborn photo package too so watch this space...

I had a photoshoot yesterday with Zara, Paul and baby Ben which was a gift voucher bought at Christmas and that went really well too. I'm currently editing the photos from that and will have the disc with them in the next couple of days. I will be putting those photos on here soon. Next week I have a christening coming up where I will be taking photos so I'm looking forward to that - something different!

Wedding Photography Workshop

Hi all

I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I was to attend a Wedding Photography Workshop. I attended the workshop on the 13th and 14th of May and it was great! The workshop was at Hazlewood Castle near Tadcaster and was taught by the amazing Chris Chambers from Chris Chambers Photography (www.chrischambersphotography.co.uk). On the first day we discussed the technological side of things and then went out to take some photographs with a model bride and groom in the grounds of the beautiful hotel. Then on the second day we went through some editing techniques and loads of really useful marketing ideas and business ideas. I found it all really useful and it has definitely helped me with my confidence and I can't wait to start photographing people's Big Day! The latest at Hayley Cox Photography!

Hi everybody

I haven't updated my blog in so long so I thought I'd provide an update and put some new photos up!

A couple of months ago I asked my Facebook page fans whether there were any pregnant ladies out there willing to let me photograph them and their bumps for free so I could get some maternity photographs for my portfolio. The response was great and I had 4 yummy mummies-to-be lined up and even had to say no to some people as I had so many get in touch! I've done the first two photoshoots now and I'm really pleased with the results so far! Please click on the links below if you'd like to see some of the photos I've got from the shoots so far.

Also, I've signed up to do a Wedding Photography Workshop over two days in a couple of weeks time near Leeds. I'm so excited about doing it and learning more about taking photos for people's Big Day as it's something I'm really wanting to get into. I've also had a lot of queries from people asking whether I'd photograph their wedding, however as I've never done one in a professional capacity before and only as a guest, I have had to decline as I wouldn't feel confident enough just yet taking on such a huge responsibility. So I'm really looking forward to the workshop in Leeds as it will boost my confidence and also I can't wait to learn loads of tips and tricks!
