Hello again!

Well, it's been quite some time since I've posted on my blog I'm so sorry for neglecting it!!

Thought I'd post an update on here as to what I've been up to for the past 6 months. It's been a busy 6 months for me really, had loads of lovely family photoshoots including some outdoor ones which have been great fun, including some lovely engagement photoshoots! I also photographed a christening and attended 2 weddings where I just didn't stop taking photos really! The next 6 months is going to be my busiest time yet as a photographer: I have weddings booked all over the place - in fact I only have one free weekend in May so I'm going to be very busy! I'm attending two more Wedding Photography courses in February, which I'm really looking forward to! I currently have my January Sale running so if you or anyone you know is wanting a photoshoot, my prices are currently HALF PRICE! Including the Bump to Baby photoshoot package!

Recent news at Hayley Cox Photography

Hi everybody

Been a bit quiet on here again recently so thought I'd update my blog with some of my recent photographs.

I had the last two of my Facebook Freebie baby bump photoshoots in May / early June and I'm really pleased with how they went. I feel a lot more confident now taking that style of photograph so I hope to do more of them in the future! I'm thinking of coming up with a maternity / newborn photo package too so watch this space...

I had a photoshoot yesterday with Zara, Paul and baby Ben which was a gift voucher bought at Christmas and that went really well too. I'm currently editing the photos from that and will have the disc with them in the next couple of days. I will be putting those photos on here soon. Next week I have a christening coming up where I will be taking photos so I'm looking forward to that - something different!

Wedding Photography Workshop

Hi all

I mentioned a couple of posts ago that I was to attend a Wedding Photography Workshop. I attended the workshop on the 13th and 14th of May and it was great! The workshop was at Hazlewood Castle near Tadcaster and was taught by the amazing Chris Chambers from Chris Chambers Photography (www.chrischambersphotography.co.uk). On the first day we discussed the technological side of things and then went out to take some photographs with a model bride and groom in the grounds of the beautiful hotel. Then on the second day we went through some editing techniques and loads of really useful marketing ideas and business ideas. I found it all really useful and it has definitely helped me with my confidence and I can't wait to start photographing people's Big Day! The latest at Hayley Cox Photography!

Hi everybody

I haven't updated my blog in so long so I thought I'd provide an update and put some new photos up!

A couple of months ago I asked my Facebook page fans whether there were any pregnant ladies out there willing to let me photograph them and their bumps for free so I could get some maternity photographs for my portfolio. The response was great and I had 4 yummy mummies-to-be lined up and even had to say no to some people as I had so many get in touch! I've done the first two photoshoots now and I'm really pleased with the results so far! Please click on the links below if you'd like to see some of the photos I've got from the shoots so far.

Also, I've signed up to do a Wedding Photography Workshop over two days in a couple of weeks time near Leeds. I'm so excited about doing it and learning more about taking photos for people's Big Day as it's something I'm really wanting to get into. I've also had a lot of queries from people asking whether I'd photograph their wedding, however as I've never done one in a professional capacity before and only as a guest, I have had to decline as I wouldn't feel confident enough just yet taking on such a huge responsibility. So I'm really looking forward to the workshop in Leeds as it will boost my confidence and also I can't wait to learn loads of tips and tricks!

Update!

Haven't blogged in a bit so thought I'd put a quick little update on here!

I went to the beautiful Thorp Perrow the other day (my first time which is crazy considering I live so close!) for a day out with my parents and took my camera with me. It was a lovely autumnal day and I managed to get some nice photographs of the place. Going to put some of the photos up on here this week sometime so watch this space!

Also, I set up a Facebook page for my photography at the weekend. It's going well so far, I've managed to get two Little'Uns photoshoot bookings for next week, so again watch this space for the outcomes of those!

And finally, I was so pleased to find out my uncle Darren and auntie Helen (whose wedding I attended in August, see earlier blog entry!) have chosen one of my photographs of their wedding day to have printed onto a canvas for their home, chosen from all the photographs they have of their day. So honoured they've chosen one of my photos and can't wait to see the end result!

Busy busy busy

Some exciting things happening soon!

I've ordered some business cards to get handing out and start spreading the word, so they should be arriving anytime soon really. I also went to the lovely wedding doo of the new Mr and Mrs Wilkinson on the 7th September and got some nice photographs there so will get those up on here soon! I'm going to be ordering some new equipment this week that I'm really excited about, some stuff that will help with my portable studio shoots and really enhance my Little'Uns portraits! And in the next month or so I have a Little'Uns photoshoot coming up with the brand new baby Peacock and his mum Kelly! He still hasn't arrived yet but as soon as he has, he'll be having his photographs taken by me which I am really looking forward to! Can't wait to welcome him :)
